Keep the field guide

The whole setup, beautifully explained.

Printable handoff guides cover sending books, PDF reflow, screen rotation, SSH access, and returning to the original Kindle interface.

Good to know

Questions, answered plainly.

Does this upload my books anywhere?

No. The app talks directly to your Kindle over USB or your local Wi-Fi. It does not require a cloud service or account.

Why does KOReader SSH need to be running?

It gives the sender a secure local path into the Kindle. Start it from KOReader before sending over Wi-Fi.

What if the app cannot find my Kindle?

Confirm both devices use the same Wi-Fi and that KOReader SSH is on. USB pairing can teach the app the correct device safely.

Can I return to the normal Kindle interface?

Yes. Exit KOReader from its menu. The handoff guides also explain the safe recovery path and the important disable folder.
